JUMP FOR THE CAUSE 2002
July Newsletter

Hello Team JFTC!

I've got some great news for you, We've been working hard on slotting the event, and I have jumpsuit colors assigned. I know that you've all been waiting for this information. Just go to the participant's section and click on the name list. Beside your name will be your suit color. As warned, most of you will be "pretty in pink". If you haven't ordered your suit (or borrowed one), now is the time. Please please don't make us track you down! The link for this page is here: www.jumpforthecause.com/participants.htm.

I'm still working on the exact slotting i.e. which airplane you're on and which slot you'll be doing, so give me some time to finalize that.

Richard and Doug have also finalized the "in memoriam" and the "honorees" section, honoring friends, family and associates, both with us and passed. The links are: www.jumpforthecause.com/memoriam.htm and www.jumpforthecause.com/honorees.htm. Please take a moment to look at these pages and spend some time with both the present and departed.

I'll be on the road from July 9th until the 23rd, first in Crosskeys for the 112+ sequential event being held there with Roger Ponce, and then down to West Point Virginia to jump with Carolyn Clay and the rest of the gang while building a VA state women's record. I can be reached while on the road at my travel e-mail katejumps@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

Please fill out your paperwork and get it to Richard. He's going to have to start contacting you each on a personal basis to follow up missing items, and that is time consuming on everyone's part. Do it TODAY and you won't have to worry about it tomorrow.

Check out the for sale area on the JFTC web page. There are some great new items available there that will help you to raise money. They are so cool that I've ordered some of almost everything just for my personal archives! http://www.jumpforthecause.com/store.htm.

Janet Lundquist is looking for volunteers to help her by jumping with her "friends in flight" chest cozies during the record event. Please contact her directly if you're interested in helping her out on this wonderful cause: base281@cox.net. Information on this item (and more!) can be found at the JFTC store (see link above).

Kelley Fredrickson is working on assembling a multi-state "Crawl for the Cause". This event, spanning two weekends in August, is set up to raise both money and awareness for Jump for the Cause. Here is a link to a document describing her event: http://www.jumpforthecause.com/docs/WebCrawlJFTCnews.doc. Contact her for information on the event and to either join in or coordinate a "crawl" near you! Kelleyadai@aol.com.

Jason Russell is getting a lot of positive attention for his JFTC companion "Boys Ways" event. If you have a friend, mate, husband, or significant other that is interested in helping with the Cause and making some GREAT skydives during the event, please contact him! There is information on the website also at http://www.jumpforthecause.com/boyzways.htm and you can reach Jason directly at Jason@airkinetix.com.   [NOTE: Jason will be away from his computer for awhile, so contact Richard Seymour for details until further notice].

Thank you to every JFTC team member who has helped us out in the last months, this event is really coming together well and I'm looking forward to seeing all this energy and strength assembled under one roof. We can do anything! While we have more than enough women to break our existing 1999 record already, we're still looking for and accepting resumes from qualified women world wide. It's NOT TOO LATE to join the cause, and join the Women's event of the year! Just have your friends contact me directly, I'll do the rest.

As usual, please let me, Mallory or the rest of the JFTC team know if you have any questions or comments. We're here to make this event successful, but more than that, we're here to make it enjoyable for you!
