LETTERS TO JUMP FOR THE CAUSE 2002

This page will feature letters and email that we receive from supporters around the world.

From Skydive Spaceland, Rosharon, TX:

Dear Jump For The Cause Organizers,

On behalf of Skydive Spaceland and all the female Skydivers here we send you this donation of $1941.00. Our event was small but a complete success. Many of the organizers/participants of our event started Skydiving this year. Each and every one of us is already planning to make next year's event much larger and more profitable.

Congratulations on the success of this year's event and of course the new World Record. We are looking forward to sending a much larger donation next year.

Respectfully,

Krista Rapidus
Events/Manifest Manager
Skydive Spaceland

The Stereotactic Biopsy procedure is great! Thanks for making this type of program possible.

Re: Jump For The Cause

hey everybody!

the doctors at CITY OF HOPE saved my mother's life. she went in with breast cancer that had spread through her lymph nodes to quite a bit of the rest of her body. thanks to the efforts of the doctors and staff at CITY OF HOPE, she is now cancer free and healthy as can be. that place is more than a hospital...it is damn near the size of a town, and the whole place is dedicated whole-heartedly to cancer research and treatment. i owe that place in a big way and so out of support, i run in their fundraiser 5k every year. i've started my donations to JFTC already and plan to continue until the big day...a little at a time is the only way i can make a substantial donation, so that's the way i'm goin...but any little bit you throw in the pot adds up.

anyway, everyone has their story and this is mine...this cause is near and dear to my heart...thanks to everyone that donates time, money, and otherwise.

hooray for boobies!

Lara

p.s. linda, i'll have more for ya down the line...just give me time. ha ha ha. i know you have a pretty high goal to meet. thanks so much for participating in this, you and lisa rock!

Greetings from Germany

Monday, January 28, 2002

Hello all you organizers,

My name is Christina, and I´ve heard from your event the last time at beginning of the year 2000, when I was in the middle of my therapy against brestcancer. I get the diagnosis in Nov 99 at the age of 36. At this moment, I have no rezidiv and no metas, and I hope it will stay at this. The reason, I´m writing to you is to say to you, that your idea is really great, and I would wish, this would happen in Germany to. (In America the women with breastcancer have a better publictiy and lobby as in Germany)
Because I am a skydiver too, I thought about possiblities to come to the event, or to ask for an invitation, but I´m not such a good skydiver (I have about 550 jumps (all disziplines)
And as a mother of 3 children it would be difficult for me to visit America... What a pity....
Perhaps some day it will happen in Germany, that somebody organsize something like that.
Good luck for your event

Lovely Greeting

Christina Bargel
