When are the Women's World Record Attempts? October 14-19, 2002. This is a 6-day jumping commitment.
Where is it being held?: Perris Valley Skydiving, Perris, CA
How much will it cost me: Nothing! But you do need to bring $2250.00 in Tax Deductible Checks made payable to Jump for the Cause, Inc., a 501(c)3 corporation (non-profit). These will be donations you solicit from friends/family/co-workers.
What if I want to just pay the money? Go ahead! Just make the check out to Jump For The Cause, Inc. Check out details here.
What does that include? Pretty much everything: 6 nights hotel (2 to a room), breakfast and lunch for 6 days, opening party, closing party, water, video/photo package, jumps jumps jumps and much more!
How do I get on the load? Message from Kate Cooper, dive organizer: Welcome to JFTC 2002 and thank you for your interest in our event. Any World Record skydive is a serious undertaking and JFTC is no different. We are looking to recruit qualified women from around the world to participate in next year's record breaking skydives.
While we do not have a minimum jump requirement, we will be looking for the most experienced women available to fill this skydive, I anticipate that the participants will average well over 1,000 jumps per person.
JFTC will be holding try out events throughout the next year. The first one is September 20-23, 2001, in Perris CA. E-mail kate@jumpforthecause for information about this event. If you cannot attend one of the try outs, please e-mail your jumping resume to Kate. This should include:
name
address
telephone/fax/e-mail
number of jumps
number of jumps in the last year
height/weight
largest completed formation
latest docked on any skydive
number of points in 4 way (35 seconds)
any other information that you feel I should have to evaluate your request.
I will evaluate these requests, along with the persons attending the tryouts, and will start issuing invitations early 2002. I urge you to start working on your fund raising as soon as possible so that you are not in a rush once you get your invitations.
I look forward to jumping with each and everyone of you throughout the next year, and on our new Women's World Record dives next October.
